Addressing tips for Malaysia
- Write the recipient first, followed by house, lot, floor or building details, then street or district information.[1]
- The postcode is five digits and appears to the left of the locality name, for example 43000 KAJANG.[1]
- For international mail, Malaysia's UPU sheet includes the state name below the postcode and locality line.[1]
- P.O. box, locked bag and ticket-window addresses have their own delivery terms; keep those terms exactly as the recipient supplies them.[1]

Questions about sending mail to Malaysia
- How long does mail to Malaysia take?
- We estimate 8โ15 business days after mailing. It is an estimate, not a guaranteed delivery date, and the count starts on the day we mail your letter, not the day you order.
- Can I send a letter to Malaysia from another country?
- Yes. You order online from wherever you are, and we print and mail the letter for you, so you don't need stamps or a trip to the post office. Once your order is assigned, its page shows the country it was mailed from.
- Can I add a return receipt to a letter to Malaysia?
- Yes. Choose Registered letter and add the return receipt. The recipient signs on delivery and the signed receipt is posted back to the sender address on your letter. A sender address is required.
- Can I track a letter to Malaysia?
- Yes, with a tracked or registered letter. Tracking updates depend on the postal networks along the way, so they may not cover every step. Your order page shows the updates we receive.
- Do I need to enter a state or province for Malaysia?
- Yes, the address form asks for it and we print it as part of the address. Pick the address from the suggestions to fill it in automatically.
- Where does the Malaysian postcode go?
- Before the locality name on the same line, such as 43000 KAJANG.[1]
- Does a Malaysia address need the state?
- For international communication, the UPU format shows the state name below the postcode and locality line.[1]
- Where should I put Taman, Kampung or building information?
