Registered letter with return receipt (raccomandata A/R)
A raccomandata A/R (raccomandata con avviso di ricevimento) is an Italian registered letter delivered against signature, with a signed receipt returned to the sender. Think of it as the Italian counterpart of a French LRAR. In Italy, the law names a registered letter for a tenant’s notice, contracts often require one for a disdetta or recesso, and the receipt helps prove when a notice reached its recipient; a standard or tracked letter is not a raccomandata A/R, and the receipt does not guarantee a legal outcome.
